How we helped Vodafone Iceland:

The goal was to prepare Vodafone Iceland for an ITIL implementation as well as aligning process controls with the contents of ISO 27001 and 20000 standards.

We at Vodafone Iceland wanted to implement ITIL processes for our services. The Change management process is an important part of managing the quality of our services. We got Jon Gretar from Coremotif to assists us since he has implemented and worked with ITIL processes and relevant ISO standards for over 7 years. Doing so he’s become familiar with the most common challenges and opportunities encountered in these implementations.

Together we designed an implementation plan based on proven organizational change management methodology and started analyzing which aspects of the ITIL processes should be implemented. The goal was to tailor the ITIL processes and emphasize relevant aspects reducing unnecessary work, taking a lean approach to the implementation. The work delivered a process map, policies, procedures and an implementation plan so that implementation could be started as soon as possible. The implementation plan was flexible so that every department’s requirements could be taken into account without reducing the overall quality or missing any of the initial goals.

Three months into the implementation, the first change requests were processed by the change management process.
